Formats of presentations
The conference will be organised in a hybrid format, with both oral and poster presentations. You will find below details on the 4 presentation modes.
Then, if you are a speaker, please read carefully the corresponding more detailed section on the information for speakers page; it includes instructions on the files that you need to send us before the conference.
In-person oral presentation (talk)
- 15-minutes presentation followed by 5-minute Q&A period.
- The speaker is in the conference room.
- In-person attendees watch the presentation and ask questions live in the conference room.
- Online attendees watch the presentation and ask questions via Zoom.
Online oral presentation (talk)
- 15-minute presentation followed by 5-minute Q&A period.
- The speaker prepares a 15-minute video recording prior to the meeting, which is played in the meeting room.
- The speaker is available online via Zoom during the Q&A period.
- In-person attendees watch the presentation and ask questions live in the conference room
- Online attendees watch the presentation and ask questions via Zoom.
In-person poster presentation
- The speaker prepares a 1-minute spotlight and presents it during a plenary session in the conference room (no Q&A during this session).
- The speaker prepares a poster in advance of the conference and brings a printed copy to the conference.
- In-person attendees 1) attend the spotlight during a plenary session and 2) attend the poster session and discuss with the presenter.
- Online participants 1) attend the spotlight during a plenary session via Zoom and 2) have access to the paper, including the author's details for possible offline contact.
Online poster presentation
- The speaker prepares a 1-minute video recording of a spotlight in advance of the conference; the video is played in the conference room (no Q&A during this session).
- The speaker prepares a poster before the conference and sends it to the organisers. The organisers will print it and display it during the poster session as a reference to the paper.
- In-person and online participants 1) attend the spotlight during a plenary session and 2) have access to the paper, including the author’s details for possible offline contact.
